Dahod is a small city on the banks of the Dudhimati River in Dahod District in the State of Gujarat, India. The city serves as District Headquarters for Dahod District. It is approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) from Ahmedabad and 150 kilometres (93 mi) from Vadodara. It is also known as Dohad (meaning “two boundaries”, as the borders of the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are nearby). Dahod is a model town in Gujarat. It is the birthplace of the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb.
